Question Branstad on His Common Core Misconceptions During Town Hall Swing

August 14, 2013 0 Comments

Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds are launch their “Our Opportunity. Our Iowa. Our Results.” Town Hall Tour next week.  The Des Moines Register reported Monday that Governor Branstad said there are a lot of “misconceptions” surrounding the Common Core.  We agree and many of them are spouted by his office.  For instance his office provided a rebuttal to common objections to the Common Core; I will respond to this low-hanging fruit on Caffeinated Thoughts this week.

In the meantime be sure, if you can, attend his town hall meetings to ask him about the Common Core, and inform him about the misconceptions his administration is spreading.  Here is the tour schedule thus far… I assume it will be updated with Central and Western Iowa locations later.
